Analize or report the book?

I think I will write a book analysis because I like the criterias for a analysis better than the ones for a book report. I also like to aim high and especially now after delivering texts that was not so great lately. The choice i have made will hopefully turn out to be the right one.

The Main character of Secret Sacrament is a young boy named Gabriel. The two first pages is just names on important characters and the real sory begins after that. It tells the story which you hear about in the text on the back of the book and gives you a basic understanding of what kind of person Gabriel is. He is a afraid young boy shaped by his father's lack of tenderness and love and all his unconstructive criticism. He is a coward and is looked upon as a great disgrace for his whole family. The only persons who have been nice to Gabriel is his younger brother Myron and his mother Lena, but they never speak against Gabriels father, Jager.

When Jager dies his the responsibility for his great merchant fleet is given to Gabriel as he is the oldest son. This makes one of Jager's brothers take responsibility for teaching Gabriel how to take over and handle his father's great merchant business wether he wants it or not, guess what, he does not want it.

The book does not start happy and in a universe where all is good, but where the whole life of Gabriel is falling apart. The start of the book is quite boring and I hope it gets a bit more exciting.

And by the way, I didn't have any acces to the internet and therefore I am writing this a bit late.

My choice of book

When i had to choose a book my only criteria was that it was fantasy. I really like fantasy because I find these books much more interresting and fun to read than, say crime, for instance. Therefore I looked after a book with a frontpage that looked fantasy-like and this is what i found:

And this was the text at the back of the book(it was translated to norwegian):

I thought that the cover and the text on the back of the book sounded interesting and thats why I chose this book.
